Chris Ubosi, Managing Director

Chris is a pioneer in the private broadcasting in Nigeria, Having run, operated and consulted severally for various private radio stations in Nigeria for over 15 years. He has been actively involved in private Radio Broadcasting in Nigeria since 1993. Chris was appointed into the ‘Core Working Group on the National Mass Communication Policy Review’ in 2004, with the mandate to review the policy of 1987 and make recommendations for its improvement. He served creditably under the Electronic Media & ICT Sub-Committee, and is therefore, very conversant with the Federal Government and other stakeholders positions on issues affecting the media. Chris Ubosi has consulted severally for various other private radio stations, including the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, on the ongoing nationwide 32 FM Radio Project. He has also worked extremely on the operation and management of the Delta Broadcasting Services Radio Station, under a management contract.

Deji Awokoya, General Manager

Deji started out his professional career at SONY EUROPE as a Market Analyst responsible, for the UK market just after completing his masters’ programme at the prestigious Cranfield School of Management. Deji moved into the contracting sphere after this, where he had various senior analyst roles with numerous blue chip companies such as NPD and WALT DISNEY, just to name. He was head hunted by DunnHumby, which is an international marketing Consultancy that handles all the Strategic marketing and corporate planning for TESCO worldwide to mange TESCO’s customer loyalty scheme in the UK. He was with DunnHumby for a couple of years and made a mark by being part of various teams, which managed to increase the revenue for this major client to what at the time was a UK record for a British retailer and in the process introducing new engagements for the brand such as Tesco Direct. He moved to Nigeria in 2007, to join Megalectrics Limited, as the General Manager for THE BEAT 99.9 FM and CLASSIC FM and has been integral in getting the stations and the brands in the consciousness of the listening public in record time. In the years since Deji has led the various teams that set up NAIJA FM as part of the mix of stations under the Megalectrics group and extended the reach of BEAT FM to the ancient city of Ibadan.

Amira Obi-Okoye, Sales Director

Amira is the Director, Sales & Marketing. She is a highly experienced Business Administrator and Manager of people with some Landmark achievements associated to her, arising from her Visionary capacity in various spheres of life including the Media, Banking and Manufacturing. Amira introduced innovative processes and practices in the art of radio marketing that have evolved and are now being adopted by others in the industry. She has also worked in different capacities in various international organizations including, Continental Merchant, formerly Chase Manhattan, where she worked for over 8 years. Her contribution in the public affairs department resulted in numerous landmark image enhancing laurels for the Bank. She was also part of the team that carried out financial transactions in international brokerage resulting in increased fee based income for the bank. She has also worked in LAFARGE, S.A as the head of Communications where she successfully identified and managed the organization’s key internal and external stakeholders’ relationships. She was also in a short period of time, able to enhance the profile and positioning of the company as a major player in the manufacturing and marketing of Cement in Nigeria.

Okwui Ubosi, Finance Director

Okwui has successfully implemented a cultural change concerning financial management systems within the Company. His wide breadth of knowledge and experience within the business has allowed him to enhance excellent customer service for Megalectrics, both internally and externally. He is a chartered accountant, and is in charge of the day to day financial and administrative duties, coordinating both the offices and the various sites. Okwui oversees all Company financial matters, acting as a central resource across all regions bringing continuity and consistency to the business.

Chidinma Justina, Head of Human Resources

Chidi as she is fondly called, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language – 1998, a Master’s Degree in English Language – 2002, and a Professional Diploma in Human Resource Management

C.H.I.D.I is a seasoned HR professional with organizational competence required to function effectively and efficiently in top Management positions. Her sound academic background has imparted in her business management skills, good interpersonal skill, integrity, strong intellectual capacity, good judgment values and commitment to task accomplishment, as well as the required skills to deliver on set targets designed to transform the organization
